It very well could be raining on the night of our November Meeting and Potluck, so dress warm. And, remember to bring a friend. There'll be plenty of good food. If you want to bring your own utensils and favorite plate, feel free to do so. I celebrated my 63rd Birthday yesterday and Kathy, KI6UIN my "betterhalf" showered me with all kinds of goodies! One of which was an ARRL 2010 Handbook, Full Membership in the Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society with coffee mug and T-shirt, and an All-In-One HP PHOTOSMART computer printer, scanner, and copier. So, these things will keep me occupied for some time to come. I also appreciated all the greetings from friends and family. They say "give out the flowers while they're fresh," so I just did. Kathy's birthday is coming up on the 17th, and it looks like I might be doing some shopping. Hey, hope to see everyone at the POTLUCK and MEETING the 12th.

B.A.R.A. SECRETARY'S REPORT Kathy KI6UIN, Secretary:

October 11, 2009 President George, KC6KGH Presiding. Meeting called to order at 5:13 PM. There were 7 members in attendance. John KE6BEZ led the Pledge to the Flag Ceremony. Jerry N6BAR gave the Treasurer's Report and it was Accepted as read. A check for the Website was made out to Kathy for $4.95. Kathy KI6UIN read the Secretary's Minutes of the October Meeting. There were no corrections or additions, and the Report was accepted as read.

OLD BUSINESS: John KE6BEZ mentioned that he checked out the club Generator and it's working and in good condition. A Potluck was set for November 12, prior to Thanksgiving at the Veterans Hall on Mt. Vernon. It was decided that the BARA Christmas dinner will be at the SENOR GRILL on December 10th. The Time will be announced.

NEW BUSINESS: We did discuss the Sunday Night Net and decided to leave it as is. B.A.R.A. Elections were held. Jerry N6BAR nominated George KC6KGH as ongoing President, John KE6BEZ 2nd it. It was a unanimous vote. Tex KD6UQW nominated Kathy KI6UIN as ongoing Secretary, Earlene KD6EAC 2nd it. It also was a unanimous vote. Jerry N6BAR nominated Earlene KD6EAC as Treasurer. Tex KD6UQW 2nd it. we voted again and it was unanimous. And John KE6BEZ nominated Jerry N6BAR as Vice President. Tex, KD6UQW 2nd it. All voted and N6BAR was elected. Kathy nominated Tex KD6UQW as Director. Jerry N6BAR 2nd it. And it was another unanimous vote. Finally, Hazel KE6NFV nominated Jack KA6VXC as the other Director. Jerry N6BAR 2nd it and Jack was unanimously elected. Elections were closed.

John,KE6BEZ made the motion to adjourn the meeting.TEX, KD6UQW 2nd it.Meeting adjourned at 5:40 pm.
