BARA PRESIDENT'S REPORT

From The President's Desk of George KC6KGH

Someone called me the other day and asked me if I noticed that the SWR changed somewhat when it was raining. I said yes, and it's also a reminder to us that we skimped on sealant on some of our outside connections, when we could have taken a bit more time when we put our antennas up. Nothing more disconcerting when water gets into the co-ax.Try ladder-line on HF.Zero Loss.
I looked at the long-range forecasts for the next couple of weeks and we're going to have a damp late winter. A good friend was putting some satellite antennas up the other day and we were joking about running between the rain drops and not slipping off the roof. Just remember to always exercise caution. With as fast as the months are going by, it'll soon be Field Day. Something to think about.
Take a look at the website. w6bar.org .It really looks great! We'll see you at the next meeting. 73's. Happy Valentines Day as well. George KC6KGH
